Basketball Recap: Bastrop Skates Past Beekman Charter with Ease

After losing to Beekman Charter the last time they met, Bastrop decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bastrop Rams breezed by the Beekman Charter Tigers to the tune of 85-40 on Friday. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 31 points or more this season.

Bastrop had a senior duo take command as Lebron Deal posted 33 points and Antron Mason II earned 28 points. The game was Deal's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adameyon Moore, who put up ten points.

Bastrop's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.7 points per game. As for Beekman Charter, they moved to 5-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bastrop will host Lincoln Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bastrop knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Lincoln Prep likes a good challenge. Beekman Charter will take on Georgetown in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
