8A District 10 recap Sept. 26, 2012
Boca Raton moved up to 101 from 163 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 8A District 10. The Bobcats were able to make the jump by beating Dillard 60-0.
Park Vista extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Glades Central, 24-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Leonard's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Adam Johnson threw for 54 and one touchdown and Tavares Martin had 52 yards receiving. On the ground Johnson chipped in 104 yards. Kenute Morris helped Leonard's passing attack out by catching two balls for two yards.
Leonard's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lancers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Johnson has thrown for 502 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Martin has 13 catches for 313 yards. Johnson also leads the league in rushing with 222 yards.
Boca Raton took down the Panthers 60-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
