Even though the Marie Philip Galloping Ghosts have not done well against the Boston Trinity Academy Lions recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Marie Philip snuck past Boston Trinity Academy with a 40-35 victory. The win was familiar territory for Marie Philip who now have four in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Marie Philip to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anya Sukhovtsev, who scored 14 points along with seven steals. Sukhovtsev is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for four games straight. Stella Ciulla was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight steals.
Marie Philip's win bumped their record up to 17-6.
Marie Philip will square off against American School for the Deaf at TBD on Friday. Boston Trinity Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
