Even though the Glendale Cardinals scored an imposing 42 points on Friday, the Moon Valley Rockets still came out on top. Moon Valley snuck past Glendale with a 47-42 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Moon Valley.
Moon Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Damion Miller-coleman out in front who threw for 226 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Diego Contreras, who gained 212 total yards and two touchdowns.
Glendale's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Zechariah Owens, who rushed for 124 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 259 yards and three touchdowns. Jesus Garcia was another key contributor, gaining 286 total yards and two touchdowns.
Moon Valley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Glendale, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Moon Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Glendale also has no future games currently scheduled.
