Avery Garvey was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off 13 hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with one home run and seven RBI. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Mallory Idler was a standout: she scored three runs while going 4-for-5. Orian Hagen was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 3-for-4.
