The Greendale Panthers will head out to take on the Waukesha West Wolverines at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Greendale has given up an average of 6.9 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Things were looking good for Greendale after they put the first run on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-3 to Indian Trail, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Giselle Paszkiewicz was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
Meanwhile, Waukesha West never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Mukwonago as they made off with a 10-0 win. Considering the Wolverines have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Anna Dornbach tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched.
At the plate, Payton Hisel and Ashlee Barry did most of the damage at the plate: Hisel went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Barry went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Amelia Carlson, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Waukesha West kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Greendale's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Waukesha West, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Greendale hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .376. However, it's not like Waukesha West struggles in that department as they've averaged .320. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Greendale suffered a grim 16-8 defeat to Waukesha West in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
