Glascock County has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Aquinas Fightin' Irish at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Glascock County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 409th, while Aquinas is ranked 191st).
Last Friday, Glascock County was the victim of a rough 47-27 loss at the hands of Wilkinson County.
Meanwhile, Aquinas can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Warren County 45-8 on the road. Jim Franklin and Buddyrow Garrer were among the main playmakers for Aquinas as the former threw for 283 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.5 yards per attempt and the latter picked up 195 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Jack Rhodes also helped out with an impressive 82 receiving yards.
Aquinas' defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Jaden Wuerth was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself.
The opposite results left the teams with opposite records: Wilkinson County's win pushed their record up to 6-4, while Glascock County's defeat dropped theirs down to 4-6.
