Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask West Davidson). They never let the Thomasville Bulldogs get on the board and left with  a   19-0  win  on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Dragons needed considering they were shut out in their previous   contest.
 Mahala Darnell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  struck out nine batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). What's more,  she gave up only zero  earned runs, the fewest she's  had since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in March of 2024.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Hannah Rollins, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Carlie Moretz, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  stolen bases, four  RBI,  and one  run.
 West Davidson  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .885. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
The  victory  got West Davidson back to even at 4-4. As for Thomasville, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the  loss, which was their 16th straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Looking ahead, West Davidson will take on North Stanly at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. North Stanly's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6  runs per game  this season, so West Davidson's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Thomasville, they will square off against Salisbury at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Salisbury is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.2  runs per game  this season.
