The Notre Dame Academy Gators gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 90-40 victory over Fontbonne Hall Academy.
Leading Notre Dame Academy to victory were Sabrina Kraeker and Giuliana Dito. Kraeker scored 20 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals, while Dito scored 25 points along with 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Caitlin Sweeney, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds.
Notre Dame Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Fontbonne Hall Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Notre Dame Academy will take on St. Anthony's at 1:45 p.m. on Sunday. Fontbonne Hall Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Moore Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
