The Montcalm Generals lost against the River View Raiders back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Montcalm ended up on the wrong side of a rough 62-37 walloping at the hands of the Raiders.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead River View to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jackson Danielson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Danielson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Hunt, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Montcalm has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for River View, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montcalm will take on the Golden Knights at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in West Virginia (Mount View is ranked 108th, while the Generals are ranked 103rd). As for River View, they will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Van: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while the Raiders have snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
