Even though the Oasis Christian Lions have not done well against the Real Life Christian Academy Raptors recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Oasis Christian walked away with a 30-23 victory over Real Life Christian Academy. This was payback for Oasis Christian, who suffered a 45-38 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Oasis Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Niyhana Tolbert out in front who scored 9 points along with 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Carly Shoultz, who scored 9 points.
Despite the defeat, Real Life Christian Academy had strong showings from Zuri Griffiths, who scored 10 points, and Riley Alsene, who scored 9 points.
Oasis Christian's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Real Life Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oasis Christian will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Victory Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on November 30th. Hopefully Victory Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday. As for Real Life Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Winter Haven Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
