Bullock Creek is 1-9 against Swan Valley since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Lancers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Bullock Creek took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Gladwin as they made off with a 16-4 win. The Lancers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since May 21, 2024 (when they won 19-0).
Swan Valley came out on top against Glenn on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run third inning. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Bobcats. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.
Mia Robinson made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Alivia Guilbeaux was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hailey Koch, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Swan Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Glenn only posted an OBP of .333.
Swan Valley pushed their record up to 6-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Bullock Creek, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Bullock Creek couldn't quite get it done against Swan Valley in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 5-2. Can the Lancers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
