The  win was some much needed relief for the Volunteers as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
 Lee Williams' victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 6-6. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero  goals over those three  matches. As for Mingus, their loss  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 9-2-1.
 Mingus beat Lee Williams by a goal  in their previous matchup  back in January of 2024, winning  3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mingus since the  team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
