The Desert Mirage RAMS's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 83-20 loss at the hands of Yucca Valley. Desert Mirage was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-6.
Omar Martinez was Desert Mirage's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Edy Espinoza held things down on the boards with four rebounds. He took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with an assist.
Desert Mirage has been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season. As for Yucca Valley, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Desert Mirage will challenge the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Twentynine Palms focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Wednesday. As for Yucca Valley, they will head out on the road to take on the Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
