Baylor Varner turned in yet another pitching appearance with more than ten strikeouts on Monday. He turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He is becoming a predictor of Harlan's success: when he allows at most three earned runs the team is undefeated (and 6-7 when he doesn't).
