Softball Recap: Brookhaven Wins Going Away Against Riverside

Brookhaven won the last time they faced Riverside and things went their way on Saturday too. Brookhaven was the clear victor by an 8-2 margin over Riverside. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Mia Lee was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Journi Hunt, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Brookhaven always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Brookhaven's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Riverside, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-4 record.

We've got a battle between Panthers coming up. As for Riverside, they are taking a road trip to take on O'Bannon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. O'Bannon has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.75 runs per game on average), something Riverside will no doubt try to take advantage of.
