You might not recognize the power rankings this week after a busy last week rearranged the teams a whole lot. Part of the action? A towering 105-point combined score for River Falls and Rice Lake.
Can't Touch This
Northwestern's 35 - 12 win over Bloomer last week had a lot to do with the leadership of senior Reagan Ruffi. Ruffi earned three touchdowns and 224 yards rushing the ball. That performance made Ruffi one of the best players in the power rankings last week.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of last week's main attractions was the confrontation between River Falls and Rice Lake, 10th and 24th in the power rankings, respectively. River Falls scooted by Rice Lake with a score of 61 - 44. The win boosted River Falls a satisfying eight spots in the power rankings.
Next Week's Big Game
If you are itching to watch a first-rate contest, no game is supposed to fit the bill better than the one between Brookfield Central (14th in the power rankings) and Marquette University (8th). Both teams have their heads held high after dominating their previous opponents. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, we'll see how far they can run the score up this week.
