Eli Harper made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and three RBI while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
In other pitching news, Owen Garavalia looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.
