The Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 24-17 hit to the loss column at the hands of Salisbury Township.
Despite the loss, Shenandoah Valley still got an impressive performance from Ben Dempster, who rushed for 64 yards and two touchdowns.
Jason St Leger was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 174 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. St Leger has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last three times he's played. George Spann also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Shenandoah Valley's defeat was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their record down to 2-9. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.5 points per game. As for Salisbury Township, their win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-10.
Shenandoah Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Salisbury Township also has no future games currently scheduled.
