Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Las Animas). They never let the Swink Lions get on the board and left with  a   62-0  victory  on Friday. The  game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Trojans had established  a  54-point advantage.
It was another big night for  Orion Martinez, who rushed for 218 yards and one  score on only 15 carries.  Cyler Jagers got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
 Las Animas didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Jagers,  Jerome Ethridge,  and  Gio Chavez picked up one apiece. Las Animas received some extra help from  Bryce Dupree, whose fumble return for a touchdown  made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Las Animas has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 50.8 points over those games. As for Swink, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
As of now, neither Las Animas nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
