Elgin waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They blew past the Lawton Wolverines 15-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-0 last Monday.

Elgin got a massive performance out of Brody Morrison, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Morrison a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ritson Meyer, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Elgin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Elgin's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lawton, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.

Coming up, Elgin will challenge Washington at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Owls 1.7, the Warriors 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Lawton, they will face off against Southeast at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
