Granite City has gone a perfect 4-0 against Cahokia recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Warriors will face off against the Comanches at 4:15 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Granite City and 30 for Cahokia dating back to last season.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Granite City nor Jersey made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Warriors lost 10-3 to the Panthers.

Granite City saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Milyn Roehr, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Cahokia fell victim to Marquette Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Explorers, falling 20-0.

Cahokia's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Granite City, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.

Cahokia's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Granite City hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .320. It's a different story for Cahokia, though, as they've only averaged .053. Will they be able to contain Granite City's hitters?

Everything went Granite City's way against Cahokia in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, as Granite City made off with a 22-0 win. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Comanches have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
