Prospect Ridge Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-31.
When it comes to explaining why Prospect Ridge Academy lost on Thursday, one person who can't be blamed is Samuel Vasquez. Despite the final result, he scored 29 points along with five assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Vasquez has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Brandt, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Kent Denver found their leader in underclassman Caleb Fay, who scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Nicholas Buchenau, who scored 15 points.
Prospect Ridge Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Kent Denver, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.

As for Kent Denver, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against The Academy at 1:00 p.m. The Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.2 points per game.
