Solomon put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 67-12 win over Wakefield. While fans of Solomon might be used to big wins, the 55-point margin marked the team's biggest win yet this season.
Meanwhile, Herington was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 50-45 to Goessel. Herington has struggled against Goessel recently, as their matchup on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
The losing side was boosted by Mason Mortensen, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 48.9% of Herington's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tyus Becker, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Solomon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Herington, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.
