The Marcos de Niza Padres's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 95-34 loss at the hands of St. Mary. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Marcos de Niza has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Marcos de Niza still got an impressive performance from James Steward, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. Dj Drew was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Marcos de Niza has not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for St. Mary's, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-6.
Marcos de Niza will look to defend their home court on Friday against Seton Catholic at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Seton Catholic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Tuesday. As for St. Mary's, they will face off against Crean Lutheran at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Crean Lutheran is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
