The Lake Travis Cavaliers can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Dripping Springs 76-33 on the road. Given Lake Travis' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 13th, while the Tigers are ranked 201st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Adrian Mathis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chas Biegel, who scored 14 points along with five assists.
Lake Travis pushed their record up to 26-4 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points per game. As for Dripping Springs, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-15.
Lake Travis will be playing at home against the Maroons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Austin has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 29. As for Dripping Springs, they will head out on the road to square off against the Cardinals at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
