Basketball Recap: Desert Hills Extends Winning Streak to Three

Desert Hills extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Jack Openshaw. The Thunder came out on top against the Canyon View Falcons by a score of 43-32 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Openshaw, who shot 40% from the field on his way to 13 points in addition to seven assists and six boards. He also put up three steals, which were his first of the season.

Another player making a difference was Antene'a Tauaefa, who posted eight points and 11 rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.2 boards per game.

Desert Hills' victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Canyon View, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-3.

Coming up, Desert Hills will head out on the road to take on Ridgeline at 7:00 p.m. on December 4. As for Canyon View, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Pine View at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
