WPIAL A Tri-County South recap September 4, 2013
Frazier's Alvin Ross rumbled for the longest rushing play in WPIAL A Tri-County South this season in his game against Geibel Catholic last week. Ross' team beat the Gators as he sprinted for 85 yards on the play and finished with 113 in all.
Frazier was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to second in the league. Mike Steeber's team beat Geibel Catholic 81-0 earlier in the week.
Charles Manack and Ross gave the Commodores a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Cameron Roebuck also contributed to the rushing game with 30 yards on the ground.

Ross was a passing and rushing force as the Commodores bested Pete Nace's team.
Ross was the most successful running back in the league this week.
Manack put up the best numbers in passing as Frazier beat the Gators. He finished with 3 completions for 54 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Joe Confortini was the best receiver in WPIAL A Tri-County South this week as Jefferson-Morgan lost to Carmichaels. Logan Bowman helped Jefferson-Morgan's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 35 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Rockets' Rece Henneman and Bowman have proven to be a lethal combination. Henneman has thrown for 75 yards this season, while Bowman, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 3 catches for 35 yards. Ross from the Commodores leads the league in rushing with 113 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Frazier takes on the Mighty Mikes. As it stands, the Commodores are in second, while Carmichaels is in third.
Ryan Krull's team scaled the state rankings by moving to 315 from 380 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Mighty Mikes were able to make move up by topping Jefferson-Morgan 36-0.
