There's no place like home for Eufaula, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Friday. They came out on top against the Stigler Panthers by a score of  49-42  on Thursday. The Ironheads' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.
Eufaula's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Peter Lee led the charge by rushing for 233 yards and four  TDs while picking up 8.3 yards per carry, and also picking up 99 receiving yards and one  score. Lee has become a key player for the Ironheads: the team is 2-1 when he posts  at  least  two  rushing touchdowns, but 0-4 otherwise. Eufaula also got a significant boost from  Koltyn Lane, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 99 yards.

 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Eufaula was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 335  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

 Stigler's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Carter Hutchison, who picked up 149 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns.  Landon Blizzard did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 113 receiving yards.
Eufaula's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Stigler, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the  loss, which was their third straight  on the road.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Eufaula is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Idabel  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 952 yards in their previous games. Meanwhile, Stigler will  take on  rival Locust Grove  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 24th.
