After losing to Roseville the last time they met, Woodbury decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Royals came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 6-3 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Royals.

Gavin Dahl tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Joey Gerlach and Evan Crandall did most of the damage at the plate: Gerlach went 2-for-3 with five RBI and one double, while Crandall scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Kyle Hedges, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Woodbury's record is now 2-0. As for Roseville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Woodbury is set to take on their familiar foe Forest Lake at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Roseville will square off against rival White Bear Lake at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
