The Foard Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 27 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 63-36 victory over West Lincoln at home. The win was just what Foard needed coming off of a 67-37 defeat in their prior matchup.
Davoney Dellinger continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with five steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Foard's points. Another player making a difference was Kinzer Abernathy, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Foard's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for West Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
Foard will head out on the road to face off against North Iredell at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Iredell is on a four-game streak of home wins, Foard a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. West Lincoln will be home for the holidays to greet Bandys at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Bandys focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday.
