Colonie Central barely beat Guilderland the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wolfpack's pitchers stepped up to hand the Flying Dutchmen  an   11-0 shutout  on Monday. Considering the Wolfpack have won five matches by more than five  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Riley Brooks looked comfortable as he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in six consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Nate Figueroa was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in April.  Eric Graves was another key player,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
 Colonie Central  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Guilderland only managed four  hits.
Colonie Central's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 10-4. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Guilderland,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-14.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Colonie Central will host Schalmont  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Guilderland, they will challenge Bethlehem Central at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
