The Kali Wolverines's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 41-40 to Alak. Kali lost against Alak in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 75-18 score last time.
Alak's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mabel Aguvluk led the charge by scoring 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicole Nayakik, who scored 12 points.
Kali's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Alak, they pushed their record up to 1-0 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
Kali does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Alak also has no future games currently scheduled.
