Potomac Valley II recap Oct. 23, 2012
Tucker County extended the longest winning streak in Potomac Valley II this week by beating Pendleton County, 41-0. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Mountain Lions.
Pocahontas County and Man played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Pocahontas County eventually emerging with a 7-6 victory.
Tygarts Valley's Brandon Pritt and Timothy Sparks have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Pritt has thrown for 367 yards this season, while Sparks, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has eight catches for 127 yards. The Warriors 's Kyler Doss leads the league in rushing yards with 569.
A big matchup in Potomac Valley II this week will be when the Wildcat take on Moorefield. Pendleton County is in fifth place, while the Yellowjackets are in third place.
Moorefield took down Petersburg 56-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
