It was a good run, but The Chipley Tigers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 25-24 to Bozeman. Chipley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bozeman apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Bozeman had a senior duo take command as Peyton Gay rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown and Chance Jenkins rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.
Chipley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Bozeman, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which somehow isn't as good as their 8-0 record this season.
Chipley will look to defend their home field on Friday against Taylor County at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Taylor County is ranked 289th, while Chipley is ranked 291st). Bozeman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
