Volleyball Recap: Cair Paravel's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

Cair Paravel and Jefferson County North squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Cair Paravel had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chargers. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Cair Paravel was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-23.

Karsyn Hastert paced Cair Paravel's offense, picking up ten kills. Hastert got some help from Clare Everhart and her 23 assists. Everhart was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Cair Paravel's loss dropped their record down to 19-13. As for Jefferson County North, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 38-4.

As of now, neither Cair Paravel nor the Chargers have any future games scheduled.
