The Children's Village Hawks 's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 78-46 loss at the hands of The Leffell School. Children's Village has not had much luck with The Leffell School recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Loss or not, Children's Village got some senior leadership from Makai Webster and Damani Briggins. Webster scored 14 points along with seven rebounds, while Briggins. scored 14 points along with two steals. Justin Gladson was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Children's Village has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for The Leffell School, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-7.
Children's Village didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-52 defeat vs. Keio Academy of N.Y. on the 7th. The Leffell School has also already played their next contest, a 60-35 loss against Tuckahoe on the 7th.
