Softball Recap: Cape Henry Collegiate Sets Scoring Season-High Against Norfolk Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cape Henry Collegiate). Everything went their way against the Norfolk Academy Bulldogs on Thursday as they made off with a 21-8 win. The victory continues a trend for the Dolphins in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

The team relied heavily on Macie Konikoff, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Annalisa Squatrito, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.

Cape Henry Collegiate was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .556. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Cape Henry Collegiate's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Norfolk Academy, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cape Henry Collegiate will square off against Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Norfolk Academy, they will take on Christchurch School at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
