Sandwich dropped their record down to 9-9 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Richmond-Burton Rockets, falling 8-0. Holtz has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 18 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
In other batting news, Rebecca Lanz was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
