Curtis Baptist has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 30 points or more this season. They blew past Wardlaw Academy 80-48 at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-17.
Curtis Baptist found their leader in underclassman Ty Shine, who scored 24 points. The match was Shine's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chas Beasley, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Mead Hall Episcopal School came up short against Ragin Prep Christian Academy on Tuesday and fell 59-46. Mead Hall Episcopal School has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Curtis Baptist's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Mead Hall Episcopal School, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Curtis Baptist and Mead Hall Episcopal School were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in December of 2022, but Curtis Baptist came up empty-handed after a 53-52 loss.
