The Cornerstone Christian Warriors came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down San Marcos HomeSchool 73-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Cornerstone Christian was led to victory by Joaquin Galindo and Griffin Plummer. Galindo dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds, while Plummer scored 24 points along with four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Plummer has scored at least 25% of Cornerstone Christian's points. Davis Mccray was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds.
Cornerstone Christian has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. As for San Marcos HomeSchool, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-10.
Cornerstone Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Savio at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Savio is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. San Marcos HomeSchool is on the road again on Friday and play against Sunnybrook Christian at 4:00 p.m. on January 12th.
