Chelsea Academy suffered their biggest defeat since December 1, 2023 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 81-31 loss at the hands of Fairfax HomeSchool. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Chelsea Academy in their matchups with Fairfax HomeSchool: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 25-25 at halftime, Immanuel Christian was not quite Christ Chapel Academy's equal in the second half on Thursday. Immanuel Christian fell to Christ Chapel Academy 50-46.
Immanuel Christian's defeat came about despite a quality game from Cameron Blanding, who dropped a triple-double on 17 points, ten rebounds, and ten steals. Blanding is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kobe Baldwin, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.
Chelsea Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5. As for Immanuel Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
Chelsea Academy strolled past Immanuel Christian in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 62-48. Will Chelsea Academy repeat their success, or does Immanuel Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
