When it comes to explaining why South Loup lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bryn Schwarz. Despite the final result, she scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. That was a full 58.6% of South Loup's points, marking the 12th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
South Loup struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Arcadia/Loup City racked up 14 assists.
Arcadia/Loup City's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nicole Chilewski, who scored 14 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Chilewski posted eight or more assists. Olivia Fitzgerald was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
South Loup has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Arcadia/Loup City, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-9.
