Windermere Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brandon Bass Jr. out in front who scored 24 points along with two steals. Bass Jr. hasn't dropped below 15points for nine straight games. Samuel Shoptaw was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten assists.
Meanwhile, even though Forest scored an imposing 69 points on Saturday, Lake Highland Prep still came out on top. Lake Highland Prep took their game against Forest 82-69. Given Lake Highland Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while Forest is ranked 104th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Windermere Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Lake Highland Prep, their win bumped their record up to 15-2.
Windermere Prep didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Lake Highland Prep in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 54-50 win.
