Baseball Recap: Sweet Home Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Sweet Home faced off against Amherst Central on Tuesday. The Panthers took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Eli Hansen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Sweet Home now has a losing record of 4-5-1. As for Amherst Central, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

While Sweet Home had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
