In what's become a running theme this season, Hereford gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They put the hurt on Borger with a sharp 64-39 win. Given Hereford's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Borger is ranked 1300th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Pampa's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Randall at home and fell 91-62. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Pampa in their matchups with Randall: they've now lost three in a row.
Hereford's win bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Pampa, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.
