The Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin Blue Devils lost against the North Vermillion Falcons back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 31-30 to North Vermillion.
Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin's loss came despite strong showings from Elizabeth McMahon and Marleigh Schmit. McMahon scored 12 points along with six rebounds, while Schmit scored six points along with six rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Vermillion to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braxtyn Dunham, who scored 13 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Lauren Ellis, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-4 record this season. As for North Vermillion, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin will finish 2023 at home by hosting Tolono Unity at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Tolono Unity is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. North Vermillion and Benton Central will round out the year against one another at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. Benton Central is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
