The North Daviess Cougars were the 51-40 winner over the Orleans Bulldogs when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. North Daviess suffered a rough 56-35 defeat at the hands of Orleans on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat North Daviess has suffered against Orleans since January 31, 2015.
Rylan Crocker was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points for Orleans. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Jones, who scored five points along with five steals.
North Daviess are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-6. As for Orleans, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2.
North Daviess and Bloomfield will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Orleans, they will head out on the road to face off against Loogootee at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
