Northeastern added to the longest winning streak in Tri-Eastern this week by beating Monroe Central, 28-7. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Knights.
Northeastern moved up to 169 from 198 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Mike Roeder's team climbed the ranks as a result of topping the Golden Bears 28-7.
The Knights' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Joey Claypoole threw for 48 and 1 touchdown and Kelsy Kirkland had 28 yards receiving. On the ground Claypoole chipped in 82 yards. Lareland Cooper helped Northeastern's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 20 yards.

6-foot-0 quarterback Tyler Weaver of Centerville is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,273. He has also thrown 13 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Bryan Mathews. The Hagerstown star has 43 catches for 576 yards.
Kyler Baker has rushed for 984 yards on 213 carries so far this year.
Cambridge City Lincoln lost to Eastern Hancock 62-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Austin Shank was a bright spot for the Golden Eagles, as he ran for 31 yards in the defeat.
