Talihina extended the longest winning streak in A District 6 this week by beating Haileyville, 56-0. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Golden Tigers.
Talihina took down the Warriors 56-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Clark Austin threw for 55 yards and one touchdown and ran for 48 yards in the win.
5-foot-9 quarterback Aaron Busch of Central is the league leader in passing yards this season with 911. He has also thrown nine touchdowns. On the ground, Kelly Gravitt's team's Austin has rushed for 821 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Trevor Crone. The Talihina star has 30 catches for 572 yards.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Golden Tigers take on Savanna. Talihina has allowed 63 points this season, while the Bulldogs have given up 76. The Golden Tigers allowed 0 points last week as they bested Haileyville.
Talihina led the league in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on Michael Martin's team. Austin in the win.
